What does "graduates found employed" mean?

It is the share of a school's graduates that Prentus found on a public professional profile and that show a current job. It is not an official placement rate: an official rate follows an accreditor's or a state's definition, counts every graduate rather than only the ones a profile was found for, and is reported by the school itself. This figure is what public profiles show, counted the same way at every school.

How is this different from College Scorecard?

College Scorecard publishes earnings, net price and completions for federally aided students. It does not say which employers hire a school's graduates or what job titles they hold. Those figures on this site come from Prentus scans of public professional profiles, which is data that did not exist in a comparable form before. Federal figures still appear on every school page, lower down, as context.

How often does this update?

Federal files refresh when the Department of Education and the Census Bureau publish them, roughly once a year. Profile scan aggregates refresh on a rolling basis as classes are rescanned, and every school page prints the date its figures were last refreshed.

Why do some cells say "fewer than 10"?

Any count under 10 is suppressed, and the share beside it is hidden rather than shown next to a placeholder. A small cell can identify an individual graduate, so the count is withheld instead of published.

Can a school correct its page?

Yes. Schools can claim their page at prentus.com/outcomes, verify their outcomes, and add the graduates a public profile scan cannot see.

Does Where Grads Work estimate graduate salaries?

No. This site does not publish a modeled salary for a school's graduates. It shows two separate figures instead: College Scorecard earnings reported for that specific school's graduates, and Bureau of Labor Statistics OEWS pay for an occupation nationally or by state, labelled as pay for the job, never as what a school's graduates earn. In testing, modeled salaries for a school's graduates ran higher than the federal figures, so Prentus does not publish them. Graduate salary appears only where a school has verified, reported salary data.
